Alex Hensel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2016, Alex worked as a Content Marketing Intern at Capolavori s.r.l., where they contributed to marketing strategies and user experience, with a focus on photographing and editing images of handmade artisan Italian goods. From 2007 to the present, Alex has also worked as a Photographer, showcasing their skills on their personal website.

In 2013, Alex was a Photographer for The Daily Free Press, and from 2017 to 2019, they were an Event Coordinator at HMR Designs. They also served as a Photographer for 22nd Century Media LLC from 2017 to 2019.

For BBQ Pro Shop, Alex held multiple roles. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Digital Marketing Specialist, responsible for managing demand creation and digital marketing programs. From 2019 to 2022, Alex became the Digital Marketing Manager, overseeing SEO, Google Ads, email campaigns, video production, and graphic art. Finally, from 2022 to the present, Alex works as the Assistant General Manager.

Alex also worked as a Marketing Consultant for North Shore Spinal & Sports Rehabilitation from 2017 to 2021 and as a Digital Marketing Specialist/Social Media Coordinator for Shapiro & Associates Law from 2017 to 2019.

In 2009, Alex started their career as a Lifeguard at the Park District of Highland Park.

Alex Hensel completed their high school education at Highland Park High School from 2010 to 2013. They then pursued a degree in Psychology at Boston University from 2013 to 2014. Following this, they transferred to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and continued their studies in Psychology from 2015 to 2017. Apart from their formal education, Alex has obtained various certifications including the Google Ads Certification and Google Analytics Certification from Google, as well as the HubSpot Email Marketing Certification and Social Media Certification from HubSpot.
