Travis Merrigan has held various roles in the past, beginning with a Cell Biology Technician at UCSF in 2000. In 2006, they became the Director of Outreach at Community Colleges of Spokane. In 2010, they founded the TYROOC conference and became a Board Member and College Planning Day Chair at Washington Council for High School-College Relations. In 2011, they were a Program Officer for WCAN at College Success Foundation and Co-Founder of GRAYL. In 2019, they became the Chairperson of the Board at Kitsap Childcare and Preschool (non-profit).
Travis Merrigan's education history includes graduating from Scottsbluff High, followed by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of South Alabama in 2000. Travis then went on to receive a Masters in Political Science from the University of Chicago in 2004, and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Washington in 2011.
