Bertrand Paul has a diverse professional background. Bertrand started their career as a Consultant Junior at Publicis Consultants in July 2000 and worked there until August 2001. Bertrand then joined Burson-Marsteller as a Directeur de Clientèle in September 2001 and remained in this role until March 2011. In April 2011, they transitioned to Grayling as a Directeur Conseil Corporate, where they worked until the present. Most recently, in April 2022, Bertrand Paul began working as an Enseignant en Master 1 at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco), specializing in Communication, Organisations, and New Media in an intercultural context.

Bertrand Paul has a diverse education history. From 1990 to 1993, they attended Sciences Po Lyon - Institut d'Etudes Politiques, where they obtained a diploma in Political Science, specializing in Politics and Administration.
