Patrick Mann has over 30 years of software engineering experience. Patrick began their career in 1988 as a Software Developer for Siemens, where they worked on the CHILL programming language and developed a compatibility module for the CHILL compiler. In 1992, they joined IXOS Software as a Senior Software Developer and Technical Lead, where they worked on projects to improve support for archival of PDF documents and to deliver a Java document viewer. In 2000, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager in the OSG Security Assurance Team, where they acted as a security consultant on products such as Skype, Surface Hub, Edge browser for Windows 10, and "Windows Hello" biometric security. In 2015, they took a sabbatical as a Software Developer before joining SAP Concur as a Sr. SDE and Sr. SDET. In 2019, they moved to M&M Software GmbH as a Project Manager, and in 2020, they joined Oxygen Technologies as a Software Engineer. In 2021, they began working at Graylog, Inc. as a Software Engineer.
Patrick Mann attended Technische Universität Darmstadt from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained an M.S in Computer Science. Patrick then attended Yale University from 1987 to 1988, studying Computer Science. In October 2019, they obtained a CPRE-FL Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering - Foundation Level from IREB GmbH.
