Bill Dirks

Bill Dirks is a highly experienced software engineer with a robust background in data quality, mobility programs, and bioinformatics. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Great Expectations since June 2022, Bill plays a key role in the development of an open-source data quality platform. Previously, Bill held various positions at Ride Report, including Staff Software Engineer and Interim Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included architecting data processing systems for mobility dashboards. Earlier experience encompasses founding Dreaming AI, contributions to Amazon's MediaTailor team at AWS, leading Python instrumentation efforts at New Relic, and engineering roles at YouTube, Apple Inc., and Perlegen Sciences. Bill holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Mathematics from Western Washington University.
