Michael O'Neill

Mike O’Neill is a co-founder of The Great River Company, Inc. (“GRC”). Prior to founding GRC, Mike spent more than a decade with Stone Arch Capital (“SAC”), a middle-market private equity firm, where his primary responsibilities included sourcing, reviewing, and structuring new investment opportunities for the firm. In addition, he assisted various portfolio companies with their strategic planning, add-on strategy and execution, debt and equity financings, and other supportive management activities. While at SAC, Mike was involved with companies in a variety of industries, including industrial electrical contracting, oilfield services, environmental consulting, consumer enthusiasts, and collectible businesses, as well as industrial manufacturing and distribution.

Prior to joining Stone Arch Capital, Mike was an Investment Banker at Lazard Middle Market (f/k/a Goldsmith, Agio Helms & Lynner). While at Lazard, Mike focused on mergers and acquisitions transactions within a variety of industries, including industrial products, oil and gas services, business services, food and agriculture, and technology.

Mike is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas (B.A. in Finance and History) and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University (M.B.A.).
