The Greater Darwin Community Foundation will act as a ‘front door’ for the region - a trusted, place-based intermediary that enables community-led solutions to access philanthropic funds, and enables funders to invest in initiatives that are locally endorsed, collaboratively designed and grounded in Darwin’s distinctive social context. Rather than funding established organisations in isolation, the Foundation will prioritise grassroots initiatives and look for evidence of collaboration and resource-sharing across community as a condition of support.
