Green Desert is on a mission to revolutionize agriculture in water-stressed regions suffering from water scarcity and over-reliance on imports. Our goal is to design innovative smart algae cultivation systems which offer a sustainable solution for the efficient production of high-quality algae-based products across diverse industries, including food, feed, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. By harnessing the power of algae, we can grow high value protein using 90% less water compared to traditional crops, while absorbing 15 tons of carbon dioxide per hectare in the process.

Our Purpose
Green Desert aims to transform food production in arid regions by providing sustainable and efficient solutions for protein and nutrition. Our mission is to improve food security and reduce the water footprint of agriculture through the use of innovative algae-based technologies.

Operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, our vision is to address the pressing challenge of water scarcity in agriculture and propel the region towards a more self-sufficient and environmentally conscious future. Together, we envision a greener, more prosperous desert, powered by the potential of algae-based technologies

Our Tech
Through our data driven sensing, control and automation system, we can use the power of machine learning to unlock the potential of algae. This approach allows us to efficiency use resources to optimize productivity, bypassing traditional limitations in algae cultivation

Our Product
We specialize in the cultivation of high-value algae products. Spirulina is recognized as one of the most nutritionally dense foods in the world, used in applications including food, supplements, and animal feed. It is rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, and is renowned for its medicinal properties
