Green Ferro Alloy (FZC) LLC was founded by a team of engineers, entrepreneurs, and academics with several decades of experience in ferroalloy production. We are preparing to open Oman’s first silicon metal facility in the Sohar Freezone.

In June 2023, we received our operating license from the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, and in July 2023, we signed a land lease agreement with Sohar Port and Freezone Authority (SPFA). The project will run in two phases, each set to produce 25,000 tonnes of silicon metal per year. Phase One starts in the second quarter of 2026.

We chose the Sohar Freezone for its deep-water port, efficient logistics, and business-friendly rules. This location will help us deliver high-purity silicon metal quickly to Europe, Asia, and North America.

By combining proven smelting methods with modern process-control systems, Green Ferro Alloy will produce silicon metal that meets—and aims to exceed—the strict quality standards of aluminum smelters, specialty alloy and chemical producers, and solar panel and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide.
