Green Riverbend Programmes (GRP) is a non-profit organisation rooted in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, committed to building resilient, inclusive rural communities through agro-ecology, gender justice, climate action, and creative empowerment.

We work at the intersection of land, equity, and storytelling, empowering small-scale farmers, advocating for survivors of gender-based violence, supporting climate-smart agriculture, and using creative platforms to amplify rural voices, especially those of women, youth, and marginalised communities.

From soil to story, GRP bridges policy and grassroots power through hands-on training, inclusive media, and bold community-driven campaigns.

Our focus areas include:

Sustainable & indigenous farming practices

Food sovereignty and biodiversity

Mental health and trauma healing

Deaf inclusion and Sign Language advocacy

Youth skills development through creative arts

Strategic communication for social impact

Together with partners, storytellers, and community leaders, we are cultivating a just, inclusive, and climate-resilient future, from the village to the world.
