Gene Hooton

First Vice President - Development at Greenbrier Development

Gene Hooton started their career as a Development Analyst at Archon Residential in 1999. Gene then served as a Development Manager at Whiteco Residential from 2001 to 2003, where they managed various aspects of multifamily development projects. Following that, they worked as a leasing and sales agent at North Clybourn Group for a year. Starting in 2004, they became a Senior Manager of Development at Greystone Communities, overseeing projects for not-for-profit senior living clients. Finally, Gene Hooton joined Greenbrier Development in 2008, taking on roles such as Vice President of Development and First Vice President of Development, where they provided development consulting services for not-for-profit senior living clients nationwide.

Gene Hooton attended Texas McCombs School of Business from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus in Finance. During the same time period, they also pursued another Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in Finance (Architecture) at The University of Texas at Austin.
