Nigel Smith

Nigel Smith has held various roles throughout their work experience. Nigel most recently worked at Greencore as the Chief Strategy Officer, a position they have held since May 2021. Prior to that, they were the Group Strategy Director at Greencore from March 2020 to May 2021. Nigel also served as a Special Advisor to the CEO at Greencore from November 2017 to February 2020.

Before joining Greencore, Nigel worked as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company from October 2014 to November 2017.

Nigel's previous experience includes working as a Policy Officer at the European Commission - DG Environment (Marine Environment & Water Industry Unit) from July 2013 to August 2014. Nigel also worked as an Environment Policy Officer at the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU from July 2012 to June 2013.

Additionally, Nigel worked as a Consultant at Grayling from February 2012 to June 2012, and as a Trainee in the Internal Communication Unit at the Council of the European Union from September 2011 to January 2012.

Nigel Smith completed their B.A. (Hons.) in European Studies at Trinity College Dublin from 2006 to 2010. Nigel then pursued an M.A. in European Politics & Administration at the College of Europe in 2010-2011. In addition, they participated in an ERASMUS Exchange program at Sciences Po from 2008 to 2009. Nigel obtained their Leaving Certificate from Belvedere College S.J. in 1999-2005.
