Ruth McDonald

Ruth McDonald currently serves as the Chief Technical, Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer at Greencore since September 2025. In addition, Ruth holds positions as a Board Member at fiin (Food Industry Intelligence Network) and as a Member of the Board of Trustees at IGD, both since April and September 2022, respectively. Ruth's previous experience includes roles such as Corporate Services Director and Technical Director at Morrisons, Group Technical and Sustainability Director at Samworth Brothers, General Manager Product, Quality and Sustainability at Woolworths Group, and various positions at Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, Tesco, Bakkavor, and United Biscuits, starting as Technical Officer in 1997. Ruth earned a degree in Microbiology from The University of Edinburgh.
