Ralph Wright

Ralph Wright has extensive experience in the beverage industry, spanning several decades and various roles. Currently serving as an Energy Buyer and Wine Buyer at Greene King since 2005, Ralph's previous positions include Wine and Spirit Buyer at Laurel Pub Company (2001-2005), Wine Buyer at Whitbread (1994-2001), and Drinks Buyer at both Interbrew UK Ltd/Whitbread (1992-1994) and Thresher Group (1991-1992). Ralph also held the position of Group Buying Director at The Dominic Group (1986-1991), overseeing a purchasing team responsible for all beer, cider, soft drinks, and wines and spirits. In addition, Ralph's roles at Peter Dominic (1977-1986) included Marketing Manager and Area Manager, with significant responsibilities in sales, marketing, and team management across approximately 700 off-licenses. Earlier experiences include Retail Audit Manager at Diageo (1973-1977) and various positions at Sainsbury and Norton Abrasives. Ralph holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.
