Marshall Greer

Marshall Greer is the current CTO at Greenfly. Prior to Greenfly, Greer served as the Sr Director of Technology at Stella & Dot from July 2010 to August 2014. In their role at Stella & Dot, Greer partnered with the CTO and VP of Product to transition the company from a 3rd-party managed, black box solution to an internal platform. The system was a synthesis of homegrown tools and services combined with a heavily customized e-commerce suite built on top of Magento. Greer opened an office in Seattle and assumed full responsibility for all commerce development while recruiting and managing multiple teams of engineers. The team's efforts allowed the business to assume control over their technology platform and enabled massive growth in revenue as well as expansion to European locales.

During their time at Stella & Dot, Greer defined the overall architecture and oversaw development of the next generation social selling platform that powered more than $200 million in annual sales volume across six countries. Marshall also grew the commerce engineering group from 0 to 20 developers and mentored teams of junior, mid and senior-level application engineers in best practices for design, implementation and delivery of high-quality products in support of strategic business goals. In addition, Greer heavily optimized out-of-the-box Magento cart and order calculation logic to allow for high transactional throughput and scalability.
