Greenhouse Scholars
Greenhouse Scholars is a diverse community of leaders working together to ensure people of all backgrounds can live a life of their choosing. Our vision is to create a community of leaders who will evolve the communities of the world. Our values are leadership, accountability, community, and relentlessness. We support high performing, under-resourced students during and after college with a Whole Person program that includes 8 components: mentorship, peer support, internships, professional networking, Summer Symposium, financial support, skills modules, and impact. Together with our 200+ Scholars, we are effecting generational change for thousands of individuals, families, and communities locally and across the globe. -Our Scholars' families have an average annual household income of $32,000, and 76% of our Scholars are the first generation in their families to go to college. -Nationally, only 11% of low income students who go to college graduate within 6 years. Ninety percent of Greenhouse Scholars graduate within 6 years. -For every Scholar in our program, we have approximately 50 volunteers, donors, and supporters who are opening doors for them and creating new opportunities for under-resourced students. -Our Scholars, in turn, directly impact and empower an average of 60 low-income middle and high school students each.
