Edward Murray

Edward Murray has had a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

From 1992 to 1996, they worked at SEB, where they held positions such as Risk Control Manager and Head of Middle Office & Derivative Support. In these roles, they focused on setting up processes, enhancing controls, and conducting portfolio analysis in the areas of trading and derivatives.

From 1999 to 2004, Edward worked at Vattenfall AB as the Director of COO for Energy & Commodity Trading. Edward was responsible for various areas such as Back Office, Middle Office/Risk Control, Analysis, Finance & Accounting, and IT. Edward also played a significant role in creating a central trading hub for energy, power, and commodities.

From 2004 to 2008, Edward joined iSite as the Vice President, where they managed banking and insurance consultancy services and was responsible for recruitment, staff management, and sales activities in the banking sector.

In 2013 to 2015, Edward worked at Amanco Consulting AB as part of the Front-to-Back Office program FOBO. During this time, they replaced core trading and back office technology for Fixed Income and FX and implemented redesigned working methods for a new digital age.

In 2017, Edward held the role of Sr Business Transformation Manager at Swedbank, focusing on adapting current methodologies to the MiFIDII regulation and identifying efficiencies in a digitized world.

In 2018, they co-founded Greeniron H2 AB, where they currently serve as the CEO. The company focuses on fossil-free recycling of mine and steel production residue and waste, contributing to zero CO2 emissions.

In 2018, Edward also worked as a Senior Manager at Cidestra until 2020.

Edward Murray completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Stockholm School of Economics, which they attended from 2001 to 2003. Prior to this, they earned a BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. In 2017, they obtained a Swedsec Licens/Specialist certification in Financial Markets from Swedsec and a SAFe 4 Practitioner certification in Project Management from Scaled Agile Inc. Additionally, in 1994, they completed a PROPS Project Leader program in Project Management, although the end year for this program is unknown.
