John McDowall

John McDowall (FRAeS) is currently the Head of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance, with a robust background in mechanical design and engineering. After graduating with an MSc in Rotating Machine Design, John joined Hansford Engineering as a Design Engineer before advancing to role of Chief Mechanical Design Engineer at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, where they led diverse design projects and oversaw key engineering functions for nearly two decades. Following a restructuring at Cranfield, John transitioned to Blue Bear Systems Research as the Deputy Head of Engineering and has since taken on the role of Head of Mechanical Engineering. John's educational journey also includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Paisley College of Technology.
