Sara Ager

Sara Ager has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries in the insurance and financial services sector. Sara currently serves as the CEO of GreenKite, an independent consultancy that specializes in providing business solutions for ambitious firms in the insurance and financial services industry. Prior to this, they were a Partner at McCarthy Denning, where they focused on insurance in the inter-mediated space, particularly MGAs, brokers, and insurtech start-ups/scale-ups. Sara has also worked as a Director at Wondrwall Group and as a Legal Counsel for Insuring Women's Futures at the Chartered Insurance Institute.

In addition, Sara has been actively involved in the start-up ecosystem as a Start-Up Boot Camp Mentor at Startupbootcamp, where they supported start-ups and scale-ups in the financial services sector. Sara also launched EC3 Consultants, an extended non-legal and complimentary business service for clients of the legal practice, and served as a Director at EC3\Legal LLP, where they provided advisory services on risk, compliance, and regulatory issues affecting the insurance industry.

Earlier in their career, Sara held the position of Director of Governance and Risk at Gallagher, where they were a key stakeholder in large capacity deals and implemented a robust claims infrastructure and due diligence process. Sara also worked at Talbot Underwriting Ltd as a Corporate Operations Officer, where they created and delivered an international underwriting platform and secured regulatory status and licensing in multiple locations.

Prior to that, Sara was a Claims Manager at Catlin, where they were responsible for managing liability and professional indemnity claims in the UK and ROW. Sara successfully defended class actions and initiated an action against funding banks, resulting in significant savings for the market.

Throughout their career, Sara has demonstrated strong expertise in various areas such as set-up, growth and sale, people and performance, business process, infrastructure and technology, corporate advisory services, regulatory and compliance issues, and contractual and governance advice. Sara is known for their logical and practical approach to bridging the gap between business ambitions and regulatory requirements.

Sara Ager began their education at Colchester County High School for Girls from 1983 to 1990, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Following this, they attended Swansea University from 1990 to 1993 and obtained a BSc Econ in Politics and Sociology. After that, they pursued their legal studies at the University of South Wales from 1993 to 1994, where they completed a Common Professional Examination in Law.
