Derrick Schmidt

Derrick Schmidt has a strong background in software engineering, quality assurance, and management. Derrick is currently the Director of Platform Engineering at Greenlight Guru. Prior to this, they held various roles at Parsable, including Senior Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Manager, and Senior QA Analyst. Before Parsable, they worked at Mobify as a Lead QA Engineer and at airG Inc. as a Senior QA Specialist. Derrick Schmidt has extensive experience in overseeing QA functions, managing teams, and driving productivity and efficiency in software development processes.

Derrick Schmidt attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012, studying Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, they pursued a VGP degree in Programming from The Art Institute of Vancouver between 2004 and 2006. In 2001, Derrick attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where they studied Computer Science for a year. Before their post-secondary education, Derrick completed their high school education at Semiahmoo Secondary. Derrick also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
