Hilde Stroot

Hilde Stroot is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and climate justice, currently serving as the Policy Lead for the Climate Justice Movement Unit at Oxfam Novib since August 2021. With extensive experience at Greenpeace since 2005, Hilde has held various leadership roles, including International Project Leader for the Congo Basin timber campaign and Head of Biodiversity/Program Director for Greenpeace Nederland. Prior experience includes a campaigner position focused on the Amazon at Greenpeace Brazil and a role as an Inhoudelijk medewerker at Milieudefensie from 1998 to 2005. Hilde holds a master's degree in Tropical Forest Conservation from Wageningen University & Research and a bachelor's degree in Tropical Forestry from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
