Will Tinney

Will Tinney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Will is currently serving as the CTO and Co-Founder of Greenpixie, a London-based tech company focused on reducing digital carbon emissions and promoting digital sustainability. Will is responsible for driving technical innovations and leading the company towards its mission. Prior to this, they participated in Carbon13 Cohort 2 as a Co-founder, where they worked on building high-growth ventures with the potential to reduce CO2e emissions. They were based in the Cambridge ecosystem of academia, entrepreneurship, and research. Before that, Will worked as a Javascript Developer on a contract basis at Planes and as a Lead Developer at Nordic Construction Apps AB, where they designed and built an app for the construction industry. Will utilized React Native, GraphQL, and AWS for the app development. Their extensive experience also includes working as a JavaScript Developer at Sennep, where they contributed to award-winning projects and collaborated closely with designers. Will also has experience as a Teaching Assistant at Le Wagon coding bootcamp and as a Freelance Web Developer, where they built Ruby-on-Rails applications for various clients. In addition, they worked as a Tech Recruiter at Energon People, focusing on front-end developer recruitment, and gained experience in the hospitality industry as Bar Staff at Hull University Union.

Will Tinney attended Bishop's Stortford College from 2006 to 2012. Will then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics at the University of Hull from 2012 to 2015. In 2016, they completed a course in Full-Stack Web Development at Le Wagon.
