Scott Hara

Scott Hara has had a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and information technology. Scott is currently working as a Robotics Test Engineer at Greensea Systems, Inc. since May 2021. Prior to this, they were a Systems Engineer at HII Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, where they led acceptance validation and testing efforts on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and contributed to multi-disciplinary teams to resolve complex system level challenges. Scott also worked as a Graduate Student and I.T. Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, where they gained experience in computer maintenance, repair, and configuration to university standards. Additionally, they served as an I.T. Student at the university, providing technical expertise for purchasing new hardware and improving the existing computer infrastructure. Scott's earlier role was as an Information Technology Student Worker at Norwalk Community College, where they assisted with computer maintenance and repair, as well as aided in a campus-wide initiative to upgrade the operating system. Scott also performed basic audio/visual duties in classrooms. Overall, Scott Hara has a strong background in robotics testing and system engineering, along with expertise in computer maintenance and repair.

Scott Hara has a strong educational background in ocean engineering. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Prior to that, they completed an Associates of Math degree in Engineering Science at Norwalk Community College from 2010 to 2012. Continuing their education, Scott went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Ocean Engineering at the University of Rhode Island, which they obtained in 2018. Additionally, in 2022, they obtained a certification in Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems from MIT xPRO.
