Sofia Pinto Barbosa

Sofia Pinto Barbosa serves as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at GreenVolt - Energias Renováveis since November 2021 and is currently the Chair of Buildings and Prosumers at SolarPower Europe. Previously, Sofia held the position of Managing Director at Cleanwatts in early 2021 and contributed as a Policy Analyst at the European Commission - DG Ener from March 2016 to April 2020, focusing on EU policies and financing programs for energy transition. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Clearing at OMIClear from 2004 to 2015, and managing PSI Indexes at Euronext Lisbon from 1999 to 2003. Sofia also gained initial experience as a stagiaire at the European Commission's Economic and Financial Affairs DG. Educational background includes a degree from Nova School of Business and Economics and completion of high school at Escola Secundária do Restelo and St Julians School.
