Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson has a diverse work experience in the packaging industry. Eric started their career at Sonoco, where they served as a Shift Manufacturing Supervisor, responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and shipment of fiber drum industrial containers. Eric also worked as a Product Manager and Production Supervisor, managing a 24-hour operation and handling the investigation, research, and purchase of capital assets.

Later, Eric joined Greif, where they held various roles and demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. Eric served as Plant Manager in Lockport, IL, where they had full P&L responsibility and implemented strategies to increase plant profitability. Eric then became an Area Operations Manager, managing multiple facilities and orchestrating the turnaround of the Hazleton, PA facility through operational improvements. Eric also served as the Director and General Manager of Greif's Intermediate Bulk Container Group, formulating strategic initiatives and establishing reconditioning alliances.

In their role as Director of Sales and Marketing, East Region, Eric led various sales initiatives and commercial projects, including plant consolidation and acquisition projects. Eric also held the position of General Manager Midwest Plastics and Vice President & General Manager of the East Region, overseeing the operations of multiple facilities and developing strategies for market growth.

Eric Nelson earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University in 1988. Eric later obtained an MBA degree in Marketing/General Business from Northern Illinois University, studying from 1996 to 1999.
