John Grinnell

John Grinnell is currently a Council Member at Greif. John has previously held the position of Vice President and Managing Director at WestRock Company from January 2014 to November 2017. In this role, they had full P&L responsibility for MWV's Adherence and Secondary Packaging Business, with responsibility for four plants in the US and Europe and a commercial organization with a market leadership position in smart and conventional packaging that enables measurement and management of medication adherence.

From October 2010 to January 2014, John Grinnell was VP, Global Sales at MeadWestvaco (MWV). In this role, they had global sales leadership for a $200MM division of MWV, with responsibility for pharmaceutical pumps and sprayers (dispensing systems) and adherence and secondary packaging.

From 2006 to 2009, John Grinnell was Executive VP, Global Content Services at Cadmus. In this role, they oversaw P&L, technology, and operational responsibility for Cadmus’ content business, including U.S. (4) and India (2) content production operations, technology development & support, and sales & new market development.

From October 2009 to August 2010, John Grinnell was EVP, Publisher Services Group at Cadmus Communications, A Cenveo Company.

John Grinnell graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce. John then went on to earn their MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
