Matt Walters

Matt Walters, CPA, currently serves as Senior Manager of Enterprise Accounting & Accounting Policy at Greif, Inc. since August 2013, where responsibilities include leading the legal entity structure team and directing technical accounting research and analysis to ensure compliance with accounting regulations. Previously, as Accounting Research & Policy Manager at Greif, Matt managed accounting conclusions for complex transactions and collaborated with global teams on US GAAP compliance. Additionally, since May 2023, Matt has been a Heroic Ambassador at Heroic Public Benefit Corporation, promoting personal development and social impact through a unique training platform. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Manager at Cohen & Company from January 2003 to July 2013, focusing on attest engagements and M&A due diligence. Matt holds a B.S. in Accounting from The University of Akron, earned between 1997 and 2002.
