Samuel Rossoff began their career in 2002 working as a Quality Assurance Tester at Activision, where they worked 50 to 60 hours per week testing computer games for glitches and bugs. In 2003, they worked as an SCV at Northwestern Information Technologies and interned at Longwing Real Estate Ventures, where they set up parts of the website and streamed video for clients. In 2004, they worked as a Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where they ported software and tested for Semanticons paper. In 2007, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria, where they utilized signal processing techniques to adapt audio to running user interaction. In 2008, they interned at Nokia, where they adapted the Semanticons technology for use in the mobile web environment. In 2010, they began working as a Software Development Engineer I at Amazon, where they were responsible for driving down page load times across the Retail Website. In 2014, they began working as a Software Developer (L7) at Snap Inc., where they worked on infrastructure, iOS and Android, largely in Java and Objective-C. In 2019, they began working as a Principal Software Engineer at Gremlin, where they worked to make the Internet more reliable.

Samuel Rossoff obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University between 2003 and 2007, followed by an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Victoria between 2007 and 2010.
