Tom Simmonds

Tom Simmonds has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 1994, they started as a Consultant at Trust Research Services Limited, where they delivered consistent revenue growth and streamlined operations. Tom later became the Managing Director and successfully led the company through a turnaround and rebranding exercise.

In 2008, Simmonds joined ProSearch Asset Solutions as the Director of Operations, where they oversaw the integration and restructuring of the business. Tom reduced employee turnover and achieved operational efficiency.

Simmonds then joined Equiniti in 2013 as the Divisional Operations Director. Tom played a pivotal role in growing the company's data-centric propositions and expanding into new markets. Tom successfully identified opportunities in the government and banking sectors and led the sales strategy and tendering.

From 2016 to 2017, Simmonds served as a Non-Executive Director at Sunspear Investments Limited. Tom provided valuable advice on acquisition and growth strategies, as well as revenue generation and integration.

In 2017, Simmonds joined Innovation Group Limited as the UK Data Services Director. Tom built a data services business, developed a Data Science implementation roadmap, and leveraged Machine Learning and AI for process transformation opportunities.

Simmonds then joined Target Professional Services (UK) Ltd as an Executive Director in 2018. Tom led technology initiatives, provided governance for transformation and scaling opportunities, and increased market penetration. Tom optimized asset use, built a sales pipeline, and conversion processes.

Simmonds held multiple roles at Inawisdom from 2018 to 2020, including a Board Advisor position. Tom provided strategic expertise and market knowledge to secure wins with various clients.

Currently, Simmonds is a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at We Are Gretel, a digital platform enabling financial institutions to reconnect with customers and improve financial inclusion. Gretel is part of IntelliTeq Limited, where Simmonds also holds the COO position.

Tom Simmonds attended UCW Aberystwyth from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a degree in Aquatic Biology. Their studies at UCW Aberystwyth focused on Marine Ecology, Freshwater Biology, and Computer & Analytical sciences. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1989, they attended Sevenoaks School and earned their A-Levels. During their time at Sevenoaks School, they studied Economics, Biology, and Chemistry. In addition to their formal education, Tom Simmonds obtained a certification in Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in August 2018.
