Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced leader in sustainability and innovation, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors at Neutreeno and Smarter Sorting, and as a General Partner at Regeneration.VC. With a commitment to advancing circular and regenerative practices, Michael has also held key positions such as Principal at Ponvalley and Advisor for the Harnessing Plants Initiative at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Michael's previous roles include Director on the Board of PVBLIC Foundation and Interim Chair at Shared Mission, alongside mentoring graduate students as an EEAC Venture Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara. A Northwestern University graduate, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies, and has a longstanding entrepreneurial background, having founded The Playlist Generation.
