Alex Leonard

Alex Leonard is a Senior Director of Development for Greystar Real Estate Partners, where they are responsible for sourcing, coordinating, and executing project development for the company's projects in Southern California. Since joining Greystar in 2018, Alex has implemented the entitlements and construction of over 2,500 apartment homes worth over $1 billion in capitalized costs. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Manager of Development at AvalonBay Communities, delivering over 3,000 apartment homes totaling over $1.2 billion in capitalized cost. Alex holds a master’s degree in real estate from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s degree in finance and sociology from the University of Nebraska. They actively contribute to the Urban Land Institute and serve as a board member for HomeAid San Diego, while also pursuing a sommelier diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
