Ben Secretan

Ben Secretan has had a varied career in the software engineering and electronics engineering fields. Ben began their career in 2011 as an Electronics Engineer at Taylor Hobson. In 2012, they moved to the University of Leicester as a Postgraduate Researcher. In 2014, they were a Software Engineer at Abilisoft. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Leicester, where they researched modelling complex systems to aid decision making and assisted in teaching undergraduates Java, Haskell and requirements engineering. Ben then moved to M*Modal in 2018 as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Most recently, in 2021 they joined Grid Edge as a Senior Python Developer.

Ben Secretan completed their high school education at Cheadle Hulme School from 1993 to 2002. Ben then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in General Engineering from the University of Leicester from 2007 to 2011. In December 2016, they obtained an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy from the Higher Education Academy. In July 2011, they became a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
