Rob McKiernan

Rob McKiernan has worked as a Python Developer for Grid Edge since 2021, Digital & Code since 2019, and Linco Care since 2019. At Digital & Code, they created and maintained e-commerce and web-magazine sites using Python Django, and worked collaboratively in a team of 10. At Linco Care, they designed, built, and maintained a wide variety of e-commerce sites and bespoke web-apps. Rob also maintained and managed legacy WordPress sites. Prior to this, they worked as a Computer/Bioinformatics Research Technician at Imperial College London from 2014-2019, where they provided programming for genetic engineering projects, creating custom scripts and using bioinformatics tools, packages, and APIs to interpret and analyse large biological datasets.

Rob McKiernan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Newcastle University. Rob then went on to obtain a Masters in Synthetic Biology from the same university.
