Erik Hersman is the CEO of Gridless, which deploys distributed, run-of-river hydroelectric bitcoin mining datacenters to accelerate electrification in rural Africa. Hersman founded iHub in Nairobi, one of Africa’s first and largest technology spaces, and co-founded Ushahidi and BRCK. They were the founding chair of AfriLabs and are a general partner in the Savannah Fund. They were a TED Senior Fellow from 2007 to 2019. They are pursuing a BS at Florida State University.
