Christopher Plante

Christopher Plante is an experienced professional in the energy trading sector, currently serving as a Power Trader at Gridmatic since September 2022. Prior to this role, Christopher was the Managing Partner at Nimbus9 Energy, LLC from January 2022 to September 2022, where expertise in risk management and portfolio strategy was provided to participants in wholesale electricity markets. Christopher's previous experience includes a tenure as Director and Head of the US Power Desk at Deutsche Bank from 2006 to 2008, where leadership of a 14-member team of traders and quants was undertaken. As Vice President and Trader at Constellation from 1999 to 2004, responsibilities included trading and portfolio management across various regional markets. Earlier in career, Christopher was Vice President at New Energy Ventures, contributing to the trading of the first megawatt of deregulated electricity in North America and the establishment of trading and risk management infrastructure. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Babson College, earned between 1988 and 1992.
