Mike Areen

Mike Areen is an experienced finance leader currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at GridMatrix since May 2023. Prior to this role, Mike held positions such as FP&A and Strategic Finance at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. from January 2018 to May 2023, and Vice President of Analytics at Node.io from July 2016 to January 2018, where expertise in ROI-generating account prioritization models was developed. Mike's earlier experience includes serving as CFO of NodePrime from December 2014 to April 2016, leading the company's acquisition by Ericsson, and various financial roles at NodePrime and USC Marshall School of Business. Mike also consulted for Cisco and Ericsson during their respective transitions, and began a career in quantitative analysis at Cove Global Capital Management and Torrey Pines Capital. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computational Sciences from Stanford University in 2005.
