Gaurav Kumar, PMP®

Gaurav Kumar, PMP®, has a diverse range of work experience in project management and engineering. Gaurav is currently employed as a Senior Project Manager at Gridscape Solutions, where they oversee the coordination and delivery of Gridscape products and solutions to customers. Their responsibilities include providing direction to the team and ensuring successful deployments and operations. Gaurav also handles technical support for customers, including product fixes and software upgrades.

Prior to their current role, Gaurav worked as a Construction Project Manager at McKeever Energy and Electric, Inc. from 2018 to 2021. In this position, they were involved in planning, designing, and implementing electrical and solar energy projects. Gaurav also explored grant and business development opportunities related to renewable energy infrastructure for public organizations.

Before that, Gaurav served as a Graduate Student Assistant at Cal Poly Humboldt from 2016 to 2017, supporting various academic activities.

Gaurav's experience also includes working as an Sr. Manager at Husk Power Systems from 2012 to 2016. In this role, they managed the installation and commissioning of biomass and solar projects in India and East Africa. Gaurav also analyzed energy consumption in rural areas and educated homeowners about energy-saving technologies.

Earlier in their career, Gaurav worked as an Assistant Engineer at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited from 2009 to 2011. Gaurav led rural and urban electrification projects and coordinated with various departments to ensure successful implementation of schemes.

Gaurav started their professional journey as an Engineer at Wärtsilä from 2007 to 2009.

Throughout their career, Gaurav has demonstrated strong project management skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions.

Gaurav Kumar, PMP®, holds a Master's Degree in Energy, Technology and Policy from Cal Poly Humboldt, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics from Dr M G R Educational and Research Institute, completing their studies from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their academic achievements, Gaurav has also obtained certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in October 2021 and NABCEP PV Associate from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in December 2020.
