Jon Quirk has a solid work experience in the automotive industry, starting in 2005 with roles such as a road tester and news reporter at Autocar. Jon then worked as an associate editor at Sky Motoring before joining Which? as a digital content producer. Jon later became an editorial consultant at Global Beach and then joined Auto Trader UK, where they held various positions including acting editor, new car editor, and editor in chief. After leaving Auto Trader UK, Jon Quirk worked as the editor in chief at Motor1 and later became the head of motorsport studio at Motorsport Network. Their most recent roles include senior campaign manager at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and head of content at GRIDSERVE Sustainable Energy Limited.
Jon Quirk holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Social Policy from Newcastle University. Jon has also attended the Renewable Energy Institute in 2020 for a specialized consultant course in Renewable Energy. Prior to these educational experiences, Jon attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2022 and a Foundation Certificate from the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) in 2021.
