John S. McDaniel

John S. McDaniel possesses extensive experience in the energy and technology sectors, currently serving as the VP of Grid Technology Services at GridSME since March 2016. Prior to this role, John held significant positions at DNV GL, where responsibilities included managing Energy Management Systems and Automation from August 2014 to March 2016, and at KEMA as Director of Power System Operations and Control from January 2010 to August 2014. John's career began at ABB, where roles spanned from Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to Director of Engineering, overseeing a large software development team. Earlier experience includes working as a Systems Engineer at Texas Instruments on classified military projects. John holds an MBA in Finance and Leadership from the University of Houston and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
