Erin Chang is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at UC Berkeley, currently completing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics and minors in Controls and Data Science, set to graduate in May 2025. They have extensive end-to-end research experience, including roles such as Research Lead in the Embodied Dexterity Group, where they investigated wearable robotic exoskeletons for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Erin has also served as a Research Engineering Co-op at iRhythm Technologies, optimizing prototype wearable biosensing hardware. Additionally, they have freelance experience as a sports photographer, providing coverage for various local teams and traveling with the United States Soccer Federation. They hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
