Baptiste Feron

Baptiste Feron has a diverse work experience in the field of energy management and research. Baptiste co-founded Chic.you in 2018, a company that offers 3D-printed accessories with environmentally-friendly materials. Baptiste joined gridX in 2018 as the Head of Energy Management, where they managed the development, testing, and deployment of optimization algorithms for B2B customers. Baptiste also served as the Product Owner and continued their role as the Head of Energy Management from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, Baptiste worked as a Research Associate at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on the development and implementation of a Multi Agent System market-based Energy Management System. Baptiste also has experience as an Energy Management Consultant at gridX and as an Assistant Researcher at Université catholique de Louvain. Additionally, they completed an internship at LABORELEC - GDF SUEZ GROUP, where they conducted research on biomass combustion. Baptiste also has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Université catholique de Louvain.

Baptiste Feron obtained their Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from RWTH Aachen University from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Erasmus program specializing in renewable energy at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2012 to 2013. Before that, they earned their Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering in Energy from Université catholique de Louvain from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they have taken Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) offered by edX, although the start and end years of this education are unknown.
