Thomas Offergeld

Thomas Offergeld has a diverse work experience in the field of energy distribution and grid systems. Thomas has worked as a Software Engineer at gridX since 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at the Institute for High Voltage Equipment and Grids, Digitalization and Energy Economics, including Oberingenieur Aktive Energieverteilnetze and Gruppenleiter Energieverteilnetzbetrieb und Digitalisierung from 2019 to 2022. Thomas also worked as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Fraunhofer FIT from 2020 to 2022, and at the Institut für Hochspannungstechnik (IFHT), RWTH Aachen from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they gained internship experience at Siemens in 2016 and worked as a Research Student at the Institut fuer Hochspannungstechnik from 2013 to 2016.

Thomas Offergeld completed their education at RWTH Aachen University. From 2011 to 2015, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. Following this, from 2015 to 2017, they furthered their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the same field.
