Bryson Bort is a cybersecurity expert with extensive experience in the field. In 2013, they founded and became Chairman and CEO of GRIMM (SMFS, Inc.), a cybersecurity firm providing services and products in automotive, industrial control, SCADA, embedded systems, enterprise cybersecurity, red team/penetration testing and intrusion response, and vulnerability research for commercial and government clients. In 2017, they co-founded ICS VILLAGE and became the CEO and Founder of SCYTHE, a software platform that scales as needed for risk assessments. In 2019, they became an Advisor for The Army Cyber Institute at West Point and a Faculty member for IANS. Bryson has also invested in GreyNoise Intelligence, Red Queen Dynamics, Inc., BINARLY, Inc., and Adventr. In 2020, they joined the Grant Advisory Board for Gula Tech Foundation.
Bryson Bort has a diverse educational history, having earned four degrees. Bryson began their studies at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they earned a BS in Computer Science in 2000. Bryson then moved on to The University of Texas, where they earned an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2003. Following this, Bryson attended the University of Maryland, where they earned an MS in Telecommunications Management in 2005. Finally, they attended the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, where they earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management in 2008.
