Maya De Backer is currently a gemeenteraadslid at Gemeente Schoten and has held this position since 2019. Alongside this role, Maya serves as a member of the Algemene Vergadering at Woonzorggroep Voorkempen and contributes to various committees, including the Raad voor Maatschappelijk Welzijn and the Commissie Financiën.
