Joris Caloud

Joris Caloud has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and software development. Joris began their career at CGG as a Python Engineer, where they focused on Python development, unit testing, and CI/CD with Jenkins. Joris then joined SEPEFREI Junior-Entreprise as a Maître d'oeuvre, managing web and mobile app projects.

In 2016, Joris joined Worldline Global as a Data Engineer, working on implementing and integrating credit card fraud detection pipelines using machine learning and deep learning algorithms. Joris also played a key role in the development of an interface linking a blockchain and a database, creating secured exchanges logics and a REST web app. Additionally, they contributed to micro-services architecture for streaming data and participated in various other R&D projects.

Joris later joined Artefact, where they held multiple roles, starting as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Manager Software Engineer. In these positions, they led a retailer's ML-based forecasting project from scratch and implemented a machine learning pipelining tool. Joris also utilized MLOps practices on AWS and worked with technologies such as Python, Dask, MLFlow, S3, RDS, and Streamlit.

Most recently, Joris has joined Groover and Cubyn as a Senior Data Engineer.

Joris Caloud pursued their education in various reputable institutions. From 2012 to 2016, they attended EFREI - Grande école du numérique, where they earned a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Business Intelligence. Additionally, from 2013 to 2014, they studied at Grenoble Ecole de Management, achieving a Master Spécialisé. During this period, their field of study is unspecified. Furthermore, from 2014 to 2015, Joris enrolled in Grenoble Ecole de Management once again, this time specializing in Internet Strategy and Web Management.

To enhance their expertise, Joris also obtained a Data Science Certification from Universität Passau in September 2017.
