Andrew Ling

Andrew Ling is a highly experienced professional in software engineering and machine learning compilers, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering and ML Compilers at Groq since October 2020. Previously, Andrew held significant roles such as Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation, where responsibility included managing a machine learning team focused on FPGA solutions, and Compiler Manager at Altera, supervising teams in high-level design efforts. Andrew's career also includes positions at Metabacus and Qualcomm, as well as a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where research concentrated on Electronic Design Automation for FPGAs. With a solid foundation in computer engineering from the University of Alberta, Andrew has contributed to various tech companies, gaining expertise in developing CAD solutions and digital design tools.
