Support Engineer at Ground Control

Lee Thompson has extensive work experience in the field of technical support and engineering. Lee started their career in 1982 with HM Forces - Army - Royal Corps of Signals, where they worked as a Teletech Sys and gained experience in repairs and maintenance of communications systems. Lee also served in remote locations, including a tour in the Falkland Islands.

After leaving the military, Lee joined EMS Global Tracking in 2006 as a Senior Support Technician. In this role, they provided day-to-day technical support for the company's product range, including terminal airtime activations and configuration of client gateways. Lee also supported public sector organizations in remote locations.

In 2011, Lee transitioned to Honeywell Global Tracking as a Customer Support Specialist. Lee worked on satellite-based products to locate, track, and communicate with cargo, personnel, and fleet assets. Lee also provided support for telemetric and force tracking solutions and personnel recovery systems.

Lee then joined Honeywell Workflow Solutions in 2014 as a Pre Sales Technical Specialist. In this role, they provided technical expertise and support for workflow solutions until 2017.

Most recently, Lee joined Ground Control in 2017 as a Support Engineer. Ground Control specializes in retrieving data from remote and hostile environments, offering end-to-end connectivity solutions. Lee's role involves providing technical support and delivering complex hybrid solutions to ensure secure and efficient data transportation globally.

Lee Thompson attended Ysgol Llewellyn from 1970 to 1977. Following this, they enrolled at Rhyl High School from 1977 to 1982. No specific degree or field of study is mentioned for either institution.
