Ground Horizon is an independent specialist geotechnical engineering consultancy based in Ireland, working across energy and infrastructure, including offshore wind, ports and waterfront structures, tunnels and underground structures, and buildings and infrastructure.

We help developers, consultancies, contractors and asset owners solve the ground engineering challenges that drive project risk. Our work spans site investigation and ground modelling, foundation and geotechnical design, constructability and installation analysis, independent design review, and forensic and expert witness support.

We are flexible in how we work. We can add specialist capacity to your existing team, or take on a defined scope and deliver it independently.

Our team members were instrumental in the development of design standards, including the PISA methodology for offshore monopiles and the ISO Unified Method for axially loaded piles. We understand their assumptions and limits, and apply that judgement where projects move beyond established practice, allowing safe and cost-effective designs.

If your team is working on a project with challenging ground conditions, we would be glad to connect.
