Megan Root

Megan Root is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in founding and managing innovative companies in East Africa. As the CEO and CFO of Grounded, Megan has pioneered the region's first manufacturer of natural cleaning products, utilizing locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, as a co-founder of Booch, Megan has successfully scaled a kombucha production venture, while also co-founding 254 Brewing Co, an award-winning craft brewery in Kenya. With a background in product development and strategic projects at Fenix International and BURN Manufacturing Co, Megan has demonstrated expertise in large-scale manufacturing operations and project management. Megan’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and Social Entrepreneurship from Stanford University.
