David Wright

VP of Energy Programs at Groundswell

David Wright, LEED AP, has extensive work experience in the energy and environmental analysis field. David started their career at Middlebury Area Land Trust as an intern in 2004. In 2006, they joined Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) as an Environmental Analyst and later progressed to the roles of Manager and Senior Manager in Energy and Environmental Analysis. In 2015, they joined Groundswell, Inc. and held multiple positions, including Manager of Energy Efficiency and Program Operations, Associate Director of Host Site Operations, Director of Project Development, and currently serves as the VP of Energy Programs. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated a commitment to empowering communities and transforming consumer purchases into civic empowerment through scalable clean energy programs.

David Wright, LEED AP, pursued their education with a focus on sustainability and environmental studies. David completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies at Middlebury College from 2001 to 2005. Seeking further expertise, they enrolled at American University from 2021 to 2023 to earn their Master of Science in Sustainability Management. During their time at American University, they concentrated on the field of study of Business Administration, Management, and Operations, further enhancing their knowledge in sustainability.
